Stephen McKenna and Joe Laws are set to collide for the WBC International Silver super welterweight title on August 3 at Oakwell Stadium in Barnsley. The matchup is part of a thrilling evening of boxing headlined by Zak Chelli defending his British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles against local favorite Callum Simpson.
McKenna, hailing from Ireland, aims to extend his undefeated streak in what promises to be a packed event at Oakwell Stadium on August 3. His last victory saw him dispatch Darren Tetley in six rounds at York Hall in September 2023, showcasing his relentless determination. Meanwhile, Joe Laws, known as the ‘Benwell Bomber’, enters the ring following an upset win over Michael Hennessy Jr at the same venue, eager to continue his own ascent in the sport.
